The problem you have is the fuselage that surrounding the jet engines are interfering with either the post or the hinge itself take everything off reposition the hinge and then make sure the fuselage is not interfering. I moved the engine fuselages on top of the Wings and except for making it pitch down the gear worked. So just move stuff around.

Does the gear retract?
