Now that we have the gyro, I have an idea of an antigravity engine(or rather, hover engine package). I don't know how to mod, but here are the tweaks I'd suggest:
-merge an upright jet engine and a gyro
-considerably tweak the gyro torques
-considerably increase engine power
-increase the engine power sensitivity to altitude(if there is any?)
-tweak jet engine required air to zero or very small
-hide the jet flame effect
-use vtol or other keys to control ascend/descend
Is this possible to make? Thank you.
@randomdiablohuang yes, they do because they need no time to start. Also, good luck with xml, it might be hard at the beginning, but it will turn easy later. Dont give up!
@PilotOfFuture Thanks! Now I just need to learn modding. I checked out your stuff too, the engines with no fuel consumption seems to work best with the hover/antigravity idea. Awesome!
@randomdiablohuang i forgot to say, when you continue building such cool stuff, then you will get way better that me for sure ^_^
@randomdiablohuang Looks really good in my opinion
@PilotOfFuture BTW, self advertising too: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/J96kit/Antigravity-Frigate-Type-39X2Updated
it's a hovering frigate, but I had to strap so many jets and gyros onto it, leading me to this idea(shame it isn't possible).
@PilotOfFuture Ok that's sad. But your carrier is awesome!
Sadly thats not possible at all.
However, you can set the engines power to exacly the value that makes your plane float.

You just have to calculate "MassOfDaPlane"÷"13.49"
13.49 is the power of the vtol engine.
After that you can put the value into the PowerMultiplier field
@MechWARRIOR57 Really? I thought in one tutorial I see there's a "requiredAirIntake" property that can be changed.
1: you cant change the input to altitude
2: you cant change the air input needed
3: its not possible with XML
