The Snowstone Incident Part II
NOTE: if you have not read Part I, highly recommend you do. You'll get nothing out of this is you haven't.

Crushing News:
January 26th 2015, 1:30 PM:
The refugees from Krakabloa delivered the terrible news: the SSE had developed nuclear weapons, 170 nuclear missiles to be exact. They also seized the ICBMs that Krakabloa had stored (but deactivated).
"If an attack were made it would surely mean the decimation of Wright" said the KB King.
"Maybe just a few, but against 170 we stand no chance" agreed Wright's Defense Secretary.
Wright's President and council devised a plan:
"We've got to infiltrate Krakabloa and deactivate the missiles, so we'll send in a strike team before we retake Krakabloa. If that fails, the Dead Bear Raiders could try to destroy the missiles before they reach Wright".
Everyone agreed, and so the plan was put into action. The WR Air Force and the remnants of the KB Air Force prepared to defend the island, and a WR submarine was dispatched to infiltrate Krakabloa.

Sabotage of Krakabloa:
January 27th 2015, 12:00 AM:
The SSN Sebring is sent to Krakabloa with a strike force to deactivate the nuclear warheads. However, the plan was complicated when a SSE submarine approached the Sebring. The fast reaction of the crew saved the mission though, as they were able to emit a radio jamming frequency to prevent the sub to contact it's command center. An underwater battle quickly ensued: the SSE sub took the first hits but had a "torpedo minigun" system, allowing it to quickly fire many weak torpedoes in quick succession. This was enough to deactivate the Sebring's engine, but after an intense firefight the SSE sub was destroyed. With no way to get home, the strike force knew they had to succeed if they ever wanted to get back. Finally, they were able to enter the command center, but ensuing gunfight claimed the lives of all but 2 strike force members. Still, those to were able to launch the missiles and have them explode 500,000 feet above the island. The explosion itself was enough to notify Wright that the plan had succeeded.

Battle of Krakabloa:
January 26th 2015, 2:51 AM:
The Air Force takes off for their mission: 30 Dead Bear Raiders, 15 Dead Bear Bombers, 4 Reserve Desert Raiders, the Desert Eagle and the Grand Airship converge on Krakabloa. The Dead Bear Raiders were much more effective at destroying the enemy planes. But the losses were heavy. The Grand Airship was forced to land at Bandit Airport (which had recently been retaken by the ground army) for repairs. The Desert Eagle got it's right wing literally hacked off by a paratrooper, two DB Raiders collided, and the Bombers were incredibly inaccurate at hitting the SSE missile launchers. Even still, one downed Bomber hit Yeager bridge, which at the time had KB refugees on it. Thankfully, the Bomber had no payload, and the people were able to escape before the collapse. When defeat seemed imminent, in came the Maywar Sky Army to destroy the SSE flagship. This event would strengthen Krakabloa-Maywar relations greatly. Still, the enemies kept on coming. The SSE had over 20 years to prepare an army, and they did a very good job at it. KB ground forces were all but gone, only a couple DB Raiders remained, and the Grand Airship still wasn't repaired. But during all this, the two surviving spies remembered something that would bring the SSE to their knees...

Use a ton of my d11s as nukes on steroids and arrowhead fighters to fight the f÷%k out of the SSE. You can use my Thunderstreak to launch Cleavers (I'm no expert in cleaverology) at the silos or launchers

What about a flashback to when Sky Park city was annexed and flash forward to it declaring independence? @DisferGoatz

That's a good idea. I've always had a hard time seeing how Sky Park City makes any sense. Maybe those big cones are actually skyscrapers? In any situation, Wright has obviously annexed/conquered Sky Park City. @DisferGoatz

@Awsomur A Wright a Civil War doesn't sound bad, but what about a conflict between Wright and Sky Park City or something like that?

Glad your enjoying it. Part III will be the end for this particular storyline, but I will make more. (Perhaps a Wright Civil War?) @DisferGoatz

Really good story. I enjoyed both this and your previous "Snowstone" Incident story. You have a talent for storytelling I must say.
