I need a moderator to answer.

What's the policy on Swastikas? I know some builds need them to be accurate, but are they generally discouraged?

I'm not going to actually tag a moderator as I know they're busy. And if anyone else has an answer please tell me.

But getting rid of it is kinda saying that it never happened so we should allow it so we remember all the crimes they committed and the people who suffered as part of their crimes.

No they are not if it's for a historically accurate reason

I think the hammer and sickle is generally okay, but I would discourage the use of swastikas because of all the negativity surrounding recent events with them. I would suggest just a red flag instead.

@TheLatentImage huh. In the Philippines there's the Communist Party of the Philippines, but we don't have the Nazi Party of the Philippines. The reverse applies to me.

People may be more sensitive to both of those symbols because of the recent riots in Charlottesville. But I'd agree with the hammer and sickle logo being okay. @TheLatentImage

@Alienbeef0421 in my opinion the hammer and sickle don't carry the same stigma as Nazi symbolism. As long as it is used in good taste andwithout the intent to offend then I don't have a problem with it.

I'm no mod, but right now, anything with a swastika is getting reported.

@Awsomur if you see anything that doesn't fall under that replica category then just report it and it will be seen to.

For me personally I will allow Nazi symbolism on historically accurate replicas. Anything else I consider inappropriate and unnecessary.

Ah. So if the plane is called "NAZIS RULE" then that's not good. (That'll get removed anyways) @PhantomBladeCorp

Generally, swastikas (or Hakenkreutz) is banned but, under certain circumstances - like replicas or any other use that does not promote the ideology - it is allowed.
