When I try to build custom landing gear on planes that weigh in at more than 5 tons, I start having issues with wheels freaking out on the ground. Even modding suspension hasn't helped it. It's made me effectively stop my work on my Blitzbomber replica, and start work on another project. Anyone know how to fix it?

@F104Deathtrap What do you mean? It's symmetrical, if that's what you're talking about.
@CrazyCodeC Maybe the gear is uneven?
@F104Deathtrap It's not so much the landing speed, it's the fact that the wheels freak out when the lighter plane is simply sitting on the ground without moving, while the big one sits normally.
@CrazyCodeC Are the landing speeds comparable? That makes a huge difference. Have you tried watching it land in slow motion?
@F104Deathtrap The only thing that confuses me is that for this 17000 lb plane, is that with the suspension maxed out at 999999% spring and damper (which may be a problem on its own), it refuses to work. However, with a prototype bomber side project I'm working on, which weighs about 10x more than this plane, the same suspension works perfectly.
@CrazyCodeC Yup, that's what I thought. If you want to use suspension, you have to manage the weight based on what the spring can handle, but then your plane will handle like a toy. Either that or become MUCH better at XML modding than most people. I wrestled with this same problem and finally decided to just to disable it. Sometimes I have springs for show, or pistons for retraction, but on heavy planes, the difference between a soft-spring landing and the whole thing snapping off is just too small.
@F104Deathtrap No, what I mean is that there is a shock absorber that provides suspension, because no one likes hard landings. I'll try working on the hinge weight when I can get on a computer.
Disable suspension, mod the rotors and hinges to be 10x their normal weight.
