So, reading @AndrewGarrison's summary of the new 1.7 features, I saw under "XML Modding" that setting "DisableAircraftCollisions" to "True" should now prevent your bullets from hitting your aircraft and/or parts in question. I tried this in the Beta, first by setting any and all parts in the bullets' line of fire to "True"...but it didn't seem to work. I then tried to set the machine guns disable collisions to "True", again no joy. Has anyone noticed this or been able to figure this out?
Thanks for the answer @NathanMikeska !
There are currently some issues with the way this is handled in the current beta. Should be fixed in the next update.
Works fine for me.
@ChiChiWerx They seem to function the same, unless you take the damage system into mind, but beside that it's only the look (and it appears that caliber and weight are no longer attributes unless I'm mistaken)
@Flightsonic hmm, thanks. I'll have to try it again and I also wonder if there are "new" guns vs. "old" guns, kind of like the "old" prop engine being way overpowered...
@ChiChiWerx What Andrew meant was that setting the gun to have "DisableAircraftCollisions" to true means that the bullets fired won't collide with you craft (and you craft only), I've tested it and it works, and my latest project uses it to prevent the rockets fro being shot
@Tully2001 ?
