There are more ways to do it than just a multiplayer sand box.
-two player dogfight mode (max 300 parts per plane, no cross platform)
-two or three player race mode (max 100 parts per plane, no cross platform)
-local two player race/dogfight
Even if it's laggy and hard to use I know I wouldn't care, I would be overwhelmed by the fact I am playing multiplayer simple planes
Everyone is :( @EliteArsenals24
I am still hoping.
@TheLatentImage the whole point of this is I don't care if it's runs like dog shit or crashes my game once and while. Since modding is impossible on iOS the only way to get to multiplayer would be through the devs implementing it. If it was a half a copy of the multiplayer mod for pc I would be happy with that.
@TheLatentImage it's sorta like a brick.
@GINGER01 is it a mobile device?
@TheLatentImage Can I get the multiplayer mod on my Motorola DynaTAC?
@MrDoolittle I'm not saying that some form of multiplayer isn't possible, with the creation of the multiplayer mod for example. But I'm sure that it doesn't work as smoothly and accurately as it could if multiplayer were a goal from the start of the project. A functional multiplayer mod? Sure. An official multiplayer integration? Highly improbable. Like I said, stock multiplayer will be something that is considered from the start of a project so that it can be implimented and optimized for all the platforms that they wish to present it on.
@TheLatentImage then how come a guy whose job isn't a game dev make a semi functional multiplayer (even if it's just for pc)
@ShatSlanger I'm not saying that something like that isn't possible, but it certainly isn't probable. I think that if the developers wanted to implimented a multiplayer aspect to one of their games that they would approach it with that in mind from the beginning of working on the game. That way they can make the multiplayer experience as user friendly and as seamless as they can. Sure, the multiplayer mod works and Hellfire and UO should be proud of what they have done. But, it would almost certainly work better if it was something that was implimented at a core level when creating the game.
A stock multiplayer function in simpleplanes is not something that is going to come about. The way that the game code is structured does not lend itself to multiplayer gaming. If there were a SimplePlanes 2 then perhaps the devs will have multiplayer in mind when building from the ground up. But you won't be seeing an official multiplayer for SimplePlanes on pc, ios, mobile, android, commodore 64, Ti-85, Atari, or GameBoy.
You can keep asking for it if you like, but the answer is going to remain the same regardless of how persistently you ask the same question.
