I know after every update everyone makes posts about what they wanted but didn't get. So I might as well do it too
- Option to remove the green crosshair for cockpits in it's settings, this would be useful for anyone building something that doesn't want that pesky crosshair. Using cameras is a way to get rid of the crosshair, but for some reason the camera is never where you think it is. This results in a whole lot of nudging cameras which gets pretty annoying.
- Camera views should actually be where the camera part is. Why is the actual camera view so high above the part?
- An option for gyroscopes to only affect the part it is attached to. Useful for creating accurate artificial horizons.
- In slow motion, instead of seeing a slowed down animation of propellers spinning, the individual props are slowed down enough to see them (War Thunder has similar slow motion in replays)
- An additional category to the AIRPLANES tab that would house every single plane uploaded to the site in chronological order. I.E. the first plane ever uploaded, the Corsair, would be on the final page. There could be filters that would go from newest to oldest or oldest to newest... I really only want this to reminisce about the times before there were custom fuselage parts and XML modding. Before I even had an account, but lurked around downloading all of AGDynamic's first planes. A truly great time worthy of looking back on.
@dootdootbananabus oh. But that isn't as fun
@shipster there is xml
They should add a supercharger option for props, afterburner option for jets, and a gear ratio and gear changing for the car engine!
Good ideas!
@TheGuyYouMightKnow oh ok
@Gestour Well then you'd have to turn it off on every gun, a better system would be if the option to turn it off was in the cockpit settings but was only toggleable when at least one gun is attached to the vehicle.
@fishheads88 Keyword is option, gyroscopes would by default affect the entire vehicle but could be toggled to only affect the part its attached to.
If they did number 3 it would be really annoying to make helicopters again.
@TheGuyYouMightKnow no problem! but with the artificial horizon is it only dose roll, I've not found a way to make it do pitch and roll (yet, I have an idea on how to do that but idk if it will work, and I forgot to mention this in my first comment)
@MrSilverWolf Oh, well that's useful. Thanks for the heads up.
2, I believe it's so you can hide the camera inside things so you don't have to look at the camera of it doesn't look good in its spot, I find it a useful feature actually
3, It's possible to have the gyro only spin the part it's on, ive used it on a few artificial horizons before, all that needs to be done is to put the artificial horizon on a rotor set to free spin and put the gyro on top of the artificial horizon parts and then nudge the gyro down to the very center of the artificial horizon then nudge the whole thing into place
But I do like the rest of the suggestion though!
The camera view is 0.5 above the camera. Simply copy the height of the crosshair, paste it to the camera and set it 0.5 lower
Agreed with the camera, seems like it's view field is a couple feet higher than the camera itself.
