I have to say though that I like the Orville because it's closer to voyager Ds9 and TNG @Kerbango

I've only seen the Oroville. But since seeing the YouTube video about section 31 which is something that I've been wanting to see more of in the Star Trek universe, since DS9... I think I'm going to have to watch some discovery on demand.
I just saw a YouTube video that proposes that Star Trek Discovery is the young section 31.
Look at the designation of Discovery. 1031. And the video describes many other possible proofs.
I think the official acronym is DIS, but that is funny. @BaconEggs

Discovery sucked. It wasn’t Star Trek. The Orville was funny, but not always the most... sensible show.
