Being gold for a week at first is great, but being gold for 3-5 months is flat out tedious trying to get to 10k or 25k. But, it's kinda cool knowing that you worked hard for something that many appreciate, so much so for people to click the upvote button.
It's the same as being any other color of rank. Only you (in theory) have expanded your skills on the editor as well as your social skills in dealing with the community. That isn't always the case, but that is the what it's supposed to go.
It’s a very good feeling knowing that your no longer a lowly silver user that dosen’t get recognized. I’ve got the big platinums paying attention to my work. I’ve built a following of 80 people, and I have many good friends in the SP community. I’m learning new building techniques to make better planes. And I’ve even been honored to have Andrew Garrison himself answer some of my silly questions. So in short, it’s awesome. Actually, it’s awsomur.
I legit cried when it happened
not really tho, but it was a great feeling
Plat is pretty neat
It's like being a normal user, but with more swag.

@Awsomur Yes. 4k more to go. Next goal would be 50k. Then 100k. Then 200k,400k etc.
Hey, wait a minute! Look at how close to platinum you are! @FlyingThings
@F4f879 @Awsomur same thing here XD
Same thing here. @F4f879
When I logged on right when I got gold, it was pretty cool to see the yellow next to my name :D@Awsomur
I honestly have no idea why someone would ask me though. XD @DemonSniper8
