It was the year 1901, the exact beginning of XX century. A family of Polish man, Marek Kowal, and American woman Kate Wesley, has got a new member. After 3 hours, Kate born her son, Michael Kowal. The family was really happy about it.
-Just look on him, Mark. He's so similiar to you-sai Kate.
-Yes. Look, he has your eyes-said Marek.
After some days, they were back at home.
They had life similiar to others. In 1914, the Great War began. Marek didn't go back to his homeland. He was too old. After 4 years, the war ended. Poland has became indepence. Mark thought about coming back to his homeland. But finally he decided to stay in USA.

Michael grew. When he was 20 his parents died in a fire of their house. Michael was trying to save Kate. After that, he decided to go to Poland, to meet his family. His cousins were really happy to see him. It was first time he saw Poland, destroyed by the war. In 1930, he decided to join the army. His father was a soldier back in 1890, before he moved to USA. He didn't want to fight for Russians.

It was 1 IX 1939, Michael was on training in a base near Warsaw when the war started. He didn't know what's going on, it was 5am. His general told him to go to his plane (he was a pilot). The plane was a fighter with fixed landing gear, called Orzel (eagle). He took off and flew around a base. After one hour, somebody spotted German bombers.
