Hi everyone, I just got Simple Planes from STEAM. I am use to the old load or download program and install. How do I download planes and install them properly. Do I go thru Steam or not. I watched a You Tube video someone said you need to go thru the Steam filter. I used file explorer I can't find the Simple Plane folder only can find Steam folder. I have Windows 10. I did some flying already looks great. Thanks in advance and glad to be here, I might have more questions if I can't find on the Wiki site.

Thank You for the welcome and the hints I will read the wiki. I downloaded some planes and flew them getting key commands down. One thing how do you put a picture in your profile?

My copy-paste comment, contains some helpful tips:

Welcome to the community. Read the rules here. You will gain points (the number in the white square next to your username). One "Upvote" on a plane you upload brings 15 points, and an upvote on the forum post brings 2 points. Once you reach 100 points, your point field (currently white) will turn bronze, at 1000 points silver, at 5000 gold, and black (we call it platinum) at 25000 points. To tag a person in the comment, put "@" in front of their username, or hit the "Reply" button on their comment (ex: @sailor98). This will send notification to the person you mentioned.

Don't spam low quality planes. If it doesn't fly (or do whatever it's supposed to do), don't upload it. Put effort into every build. There are many tricks ingame tutorial won't show you. You can learn them by taking apart planes already uploaded to the site. If you don't understand how something works, feel free to ask. You are also not restricted to planes. People have made ships, tanks, cars, trucks, trains, dragons, spaceships...

Be sure to respect other users. Swearing, insulting other users, discriminating, or posting sexually suggestive material can get you banned. Users with red point boxes are moderators. If you have a problem with anyone, talk to them. If you have a problem with building, talk to one of the users whose builds you like. The more experienced they are, bigger the chance they can help you. If you have a problem with the game itself, seek users with blue point boxes. They are developers of the game, and they will take note of the problem you are having and probably fix it in the next update.

I wish you a happy stay in the SimplePlanes community, and a lot of points.

My favorite way to download planes is copying their url, and pressing Ctrl+L in editor. Steam overlay is Shift+Tab.
