1st place: CedCo Sturgeon Class Coastal defence vessel with 45 points;
2nd place: Torpedo Boat Ultra 187 with 43 points;
3rd place: Beast-Class Missile Corvette and JNS Chidori, bith with 41 point.
S.S Mutig (SCV Challenge)
-Realism: 7/10;
-Design: 5/10;
-Construction: 4/10;
-Performance: 3/10;
-Personal impression: 5/10.
Total: 24/50
Positive sides: It looks like a boat.
Negative sides: It's too simple, torpedoes are impossible to aim, and so are guns. Also, it drifts a lot when turning. Engine should have been either a hidden VTOL or underwater props.
Oski NAVY SFC Night Widow
-Realism: 4/10;
-Design: 4/10;
-Construction: 4/10;
-Performance: 5/10;
-Personal impression: 4/10.
Total: 21/50
-Positive sides: The ship handles pretty well;
-Negative sides: Guns are all on the same input. Also, ship is too long for its width, and that rear ramp is pointless. Design of the superstructure is very unusual and impractical.
Motor Launch
-Realism: 8/10;
-Design: 8/10;
-Construction: 6/10;
-Performance: 8/10;
-Personal impression: 8/10.
Total: 38/50
Positive sides: Usage of angled fuselages, low part count details, even a simple interior. Handling is quite good, and the vessel is fun to use.
Negative sides: Cabin is not properly nudged and XML edited. Also, guns should have had crosshairs, or at least dots, to aid the aiming.
Bluefin Class Missile Boat
-Realism: 8/10;
-Design: 7/10;
-Construction: 8/10;
-Performance: 7/10;
-Personal impression: 7/10.
Total: 37/50
Positive sides: A very well made modern missile corvette. Steers well, and weapon systems are usable.
Negative sides: It's too fast, going almost 100mph. Also, what's that prop doing back there? If the ship was scaled 1:1, it would have exceeded the size limit a bit.
U.S.S Tyrant
A very boxy design. Of it was 1:1, it would double the required maximum size. It's a frigate. Not rated.
Das Klein Gepanzerte Schiff
A very interesting build, but it's off the subject. Despite being well built, it would score very low (realism: 1/10). It's hardly a small vessel. Not rated.
armored attack boat
-Realism: 1/10;
-Design: 3/10;
-Construction: 3/10;
-Performance: 3/10;
-Personal impression: 2/10.
Total: 12/50
Positive sides: It floats.
Negative sides: It's overarmed for what appears to be its intended size. Intended size is difficult to determine due to the complete lack of details. It can't maintain the course.
Puffle Class Frigate
It's a frigate. Too large, and off the topic of the challenge.
Fast attack craft
-Realism: 3/10;
-Design: 5/10;
-Construction: 3/10;
-Performance: 3/10;
-Personal impression: 2/10.
Total: 16/50
Positive sides: It floats. Doesn't look bad from afar either.
Negative sides: Nudging on this one is terrible. Also, it floats with its bow down and stern out of the water, and it shoots its parts off when I fire the main gun.
small boat contest entry
-Realism: 3/10;
-Design: 2/10;
-Construction: 2/10;
-Performance: 6/10;
-Personal impression: 2/10.
Total: 15/50
Positive sides: It handles very well when at speed.
Negative sides: It's way too simple. A bunch of simple shapes on rotators acting as turrets. No details except for a few simple antennas.
U.S.S. Pyrrhus
-Realism: 7/10;
-Design: 7/10;
-Construction: 7/10;
-Performance: 7/10;
-Personal impression: 8/10.
Total: 36/50
Positive sides: A lot of details and good handling.
Negative sides: Simple hull technique, props don't actually work, and the ship is too long for its width. Also, gun turret is too cubic, and gun is low on ammo. You can use the cannon by firing bombs (LaunchWeapon), so you could have used more bombs in it.
Yavuz Class Corvette (Rated the upgraded version)
-Realism: 7/10;
-Design: 6/10;
-Construction: 5/10;
-Performance: 5/10;
-Personal impression: 7/10.
Total: 30/50
Positive sides: Weapons are very functional and very well designed.
Negative sides: The rest of the ship isn't designed as well as weapons. Also, turning is quite slow.
MTB PT-109 tulagi
-Realism: 7/10;
-Design: 6/10;
-Construction: 7/10;
-Performance: 7/10;
-Personal impression: 6/10.
Total: 33/50
Positive sides: I like how you did the bow. It could still be better, but it's nice. Also, it's good for a torpedo run against USS Beast.
Negative sides: Guns could have been made a lot better. It's also a bit low on details.
Torpedo Boat Ultra 187
-Realism: 8/10;
-Design: 8/10;
-Construction: 10/10;
-Performance: 8/10;
-Personal impression: 9/10.
Total: 43/50
Positive sides: Good overall design, good performance, functional armament, amazing details. Very fun to use.
Negative sides: No crosshairs for guns and rockets. And the hull is a bit simple.
Archangel Class - Heavy Patrol Vessel
-Realism: 5/10;
-Design: 8/10;
-Construction: 9/10;
-Performance: 8/10;
-Personal impression: 8/10.
Total: 38/50
Positive sides: A very interesting design, with a lot of firepower. Destroyed the USS Beast fleet with ease.
Negative sides: Some unrealistic weapons, and unrealistic speed.
D Class Large torpedo ship(FOR CHALLENGE)
It's a destroyer. Nowhere near a small vessel. Nice build, but not rated due to not fitting the challenge requirements.
CB90 Fast assult craft (SCGV Challenge)
-Realism: 8/10;
-Design: 7/10;
-Construction: 6/10;
-Performance: 6/10;
-Personal impression: 5/10.
Total: 32/50
Positive sides: Nice choice of design.
Negative sides: It's oversimplified. CB-90 is not a kind of boat that can be made well with fewer than 400 parts. Also, guns don't have custom cameras, and the main gun doesn't even have elevation.
CedCo Sturgeon Class Coastal defence vessel
-Realism: 9/10;
-Design: 9/10;
-Construction: 10/10;
-Performance: 8/10;
-Personal impression: 9/10.
Total: 45/50
Positive sides: Good design, functional weapons, working deployable boat, incredible details, interior,...
Negative sides: It's a bit too fast.
JNS Chidori
-Realism: 8/10;
-Design: 8/10;
-Construction: 10/10;
-Performance: 7/10;
-Personal impression: 8/10.
Total: 41/50
Positive sides: Good design, realistic armament, attention to details. Wasn't avoiding paneling and angling parts to get a perfect, seamless fit.
Negative sides: Guns don't have sights, and turning is a bit slower than I expected.
Missile Boat SCV Challenge
-Realism: 5/10;
-Design: 5/10;
-Construction: 5/10;
-Performance: 7/10;
-Personal impression: 6/10.
Total: 28/50
Positive sides: Pretty functional. I wasn't expecting it to sail that well. Good for killing the fleet. Fun to use.
Negative sides: It lacks details, and I suspect it would be more than 65m long if it was 1:1. Also, Cleavers sometimes get stuck.
CAFB Combat Armoured Fighting Boat
-Realism: 7/10;
-Design: 6/10;
-Construction: 4/10;
-Performance: 3/10;
-Personal impression: 3/10.
Total: 23/50
Positive sides: Interesting idea. A water-based APC/IFV.
Negative sides: Way too fast. Also, everything is connected to VTOL without using activation groups. When I fire guns at 0 traverse, the rear one shoots into the ship. If I want to deploy torpedoes, guns aim to the side, and it sometimes explodes when I launch a missile. Also, turning is twitchy, a consequence of using a control surface as a rudder.
The Hall Monitor
-Realism: 4/10;
-Design: 7/10;
-Construction: 8/10;
-Performance: 7/10;
-Personal impression: 9/10.
Total: 35/50
Positive sides: It's funny (Ironclad monitor killing a modern fleet with a bunch of missiles). It has a lot of moving parts, and the deck really looks wooden with those planks.
Negative sides: I had to give a low mark for realism as a vessel like this is very unlikely to ever be made. It also drifts in sharp turns.
DD-127 Attack Boat (S.E Industries)
-Realism: 7/10;
-Design: 7/10;
-Construction: 7/10;
-Performance: 7/10;
-Personal impression: 7/10.
Total: 35/50
Positive sides: Very nice old-school design, nice armament, and good performance. I like the arrow going along the hull.
Negative sides: The ship could use some more details, and windows on the rear superstructure shouldn't be there.
Typhoon- class coastal patrol craft
-Realism: 7/10;
-Design: 5/10;
-Construction: 7/10;
-Performance: 7/10;
-Personal impression: 6/10.
Total: 32/50
Positive sides: It's obvious you have invested effort into this boat. Additional points in "Construction" category for deployable boat.
Negative sides: Weapons are oversimplified. Also, construction is a bit rough in some places.
TA 177(competes in challenge)
-Realism: 7/10;
-Design: 7/10;
-Construction: 5/10;
-Performance: 7/10;
-Personal impression: 7/10.
Total: 33/50
Positive sides: It sails very well. It tilts quite realistically when the gyroscope is off.
Negative sides: It's pretty roughly made. Parts are not smoothly fitted.
Beast-Class Missile Corvette
-Realism: 8/10;
-Design: 8/10;
-Construction: 9/10;
-Performance: 7/10;
-Personal impression: 9/10.
Total: 41/50
Positive sides: Lots of details, and lots of camera views. Every weapon can be accurately trained. Detailed interior is a big plus. Overall shape is also good.
Negative sides: It's sitting too high in the water, and it easily drifts in even the softest turns. Also, why VTOL for throttle? What's wrong with Throttle for throttle?
Arctic Shark
-Realism: 5/10;
-Design: 5/10;
-Construction: 4/10;
-Performance: 5/10;
-Personal impression: 4/10.
Total: 23/50
Positive sides: It sails.
Negative sides: Design is quite impractical. Ship is a bit too large for just two guns and no missiles. There's absolutely no details on it, and it drifts when turning. Way too simple.
@BogdanX no problem. Thank you for understanding.
@EternalDarkness yep, but shool got in the way.
@FlyingThings well, it was a quick build. If you took your time, I'm sure you would have scored better.
Good enough. Im ok with the ratings on my ship.
@Cedy117 congratulations, you won. On what build you'd like a spotlight?
@BogdanX congrats. Unfortunately, I have already upvoted all your builds, and I can't spotlight you.
@FlyingThings give me a link, I lost the old one.
@EternalDarkness Affirmative.
@FlyingThings I was very busy today with real life. Could you please remind me tomorrow (in around 12-18h)?
Did you rate my Vessel?
But I have an attack ship with a TCMDS or Tomahawk Cruise Missile Defense Salvo. Holding six Tomahawk missiles.
How do I get u derwater props???
@randomusername you could have consulted google, Wikipedia, and YouTube.
Why I didn’t enter: I don’t really make small attack craft; I make big ship.
@XjayIndustrys nothing to be sorry about. It's not a commonly used trick.
@EternalDarkness ohhh sorry i didnt know that
@XjayIndustrys you can use an engine set to "brake" input.
On the last one you can't use throttle for reverse
@Jerushah no problem
@EternalDarkness thank you and i completely agree with your judging on my ship (but i was actually thinking t would do worse) thanks anyway
@Baldeagle086 np
Thx
@jlewisifer no problem
Agree with your rating. Fun challenge, thanks for your thorough and objective feedback!
@BogdanX there's still no winner. These results are preliminary. I still want to talk to builders, to see if I missed something. Many of these ships have a lot of functions or sequences in which you have to do things for something to work. I might have done something wrong while testing a build, and reduced its points for my mistake.
