We put that Mk 84 right through the flattop deck...return fire was fierce, knocking out #1...luckily the Phantom is built like a cement truck and we were able to limp home. As for the landing, any landing you can walk away from is a good landing! The Wing King wasn’t too upset considering the fact we had sent that boat to the bottom.
That makes any landing where they can use the plane a great landing!
