Stuff Id like to see in SImpleplanes in the near future.

1.) More objects in the main world, such as towns, harbors, seaplane bases at the islands.
2.) Better AI with options on AI skill and tactics.
3.) Better painting tools so we can actually detail our planes without having to make the part count skyrocket.
4.) More parts (Engines/ fuselage options)
5.) More options for bomb customization (Explosive potential, fin designs) with options for guns (caliber options that actually effects the guns damage potential)
6.) more damage modeling for parts (Visible fuel leaks , stopped engines that haven't caught fire, loose control surfaces that don't seize up.)
7.) A search bar in dogfight mode when you dont want to scroll wheel for five minutes through hundreds of planes. And a button to swap aircraft places. (Also fixing the scroll bar glitch would be nice too.)
8.) More AI planes in Dogfight mode with lots of options for position, and formations. Maybe even map where they go and bomb or intercept your formation?

if i remember correctly, you can change damage with the xml value impactForce, something like that.

@Johndfg Drawing the decals would take as much skill at using parts, and youd be able to fit more detail.

There should be an easy way to edit AI flight paths and so.
-In the AI section, there would be a button that says "Edit AI patterns" When you click on it, it shows a map that you can edit.
For example: make the AI throttle 30% when spawned in and add a point where the throttle gets increased to 70%.Then make the AI pull up and climb 1000ft, when it has done that, make the AI activate AG1. Then you could connect points to lead the AI to Bandit airport. Few miles before the airport, you make the AI descend 1000ft and put throttle on 20% and also make the AI pull the VTOL bar down. Or you could mark the bandit airport as an "Airport" and the AI will try to land there themselves. When the AI has touched down, you make it decrease the throttle to 0% and apply brakes. When it has become to a full stop, you can make it rotate 180 degrees and take off again.

@TheOwlAce That's a good idea, I feel like paint using a "paint" tool would look sorta cheap. But I gotta say, I'm kinda getting tired of details made of smaller fuselage pieces while working on my current project

@MrSilverWolf @Johndfg @MrDoolittle Exact point I was going to make, it would be easy for mobile users and creations that have many parts to begin with and need more for details. I think it would actually make creations detailed with smaller parts stand out. It could start its own category of creations, "Mini Detailed" perhaps?

@MrDoolittle yeah true it would help with things here and there and it sounds like a really good thing to be added but I'm not a huge fan of it but that's just my opinion there

@MrSilverWolf not necessarily, it would make building functional realistic planes easier for iOS .

I really like all of these ideas except the easier paint thing, I'm with @Johndfg on the that part, takes the fun and challenges out of painting planes

I've wanted these ideas for a while (especially the search bar in dogfights!!) Hopefully the devs add this like they added flares, resizable inlets, parachutes, etc after player forum requests. The one thing I don't want to be added is decals, because I love adding small details to planes, and if that gets added it takes the challenge out of it

    1. My bloody grass aerodrome in the bowl!!!!!! been asking for 2 years now lol!

    2. I agree, the AI usually manages to crash my racers [that I can manually fly very well] before the first checkpoint.

    3. I don't think we need better painting tools as a good way to tell if someone is a skilled builder is to see what their paint schemes are, But what we do need is an infinite number of custom paints as it gets quite annoying when you run out of paints and have to paint things the same colour.

    4. You can edit guns in overload but it would be LOVELY to edit them without mods. As for bombs hell yeah, and there needs to be a red button that turns them into nukes hehe.

    5. Yes if you got engine damaged coolant could spray out and the engine would overheat and catch fire, also the crash mechanics should not chain explode your plane, just splat it onto the ground in a big mess and set a few things on fire.

    6. would be very helpful!

    My additions.

some way to take thumbnail screenshots in sandbox before uploading
