My iPad is malfunctioning...

234k jamesPLANESii  7.0 years ago

Today my iPad stopped working properly.
So what's happening is these many things:
1. When you swipe a certain place on the screen, it shuts off.
2. Sometimes all the buttons and the touch screen stop working, but the iPad still functions.
3. It restarts randomly
4. Just before it restarted because it couldn't restart itself
5. Now the screen won't rotate into landscape mode, even though the screen rotation thing is unlocked.

I may not be on the website as much now... But then again, tomorrow is the last day of school, so I might be on more. :D

Edit: I managed to type this on my iPad, so it's not too catastrophic...

It’s an excellent device, and it runs SimplePlanes well if you want to fly some light-moderate size builds.

Ok, that’s good info to have. I had a mini 1 for a long time until I cracked the screen. I got it replaced, but the people who did it (not Apple, 3rd party) did an awful job so I upgraded to the 2. Then a 4, and now a iPad 2017.

    Haha, very funny.

Well next time don’t expect someone to ditch their device and buy an Android just because you think it’s better.

Oh, and one more thing. (LOL Steve Jobs quote)
    .
To tell if you have an iPad mini 1 or 2, look closely at the screen. If you can see actual pixels, it’s a 1. If you can’t, it’s a 2. That’s because iPad mini two was the so-called “Retina mini”, and with a Retina display you can’t see pixels.

    Hurray!
    .
I recommend doing a regular restart around once a month to keep things in order. Hard restarts are helpful but they can be taxing on a device if they are done frequently.
