So, basically, my PC up and died today.
It boots Windows and then doesn't respond to anything I do.
I refuse to reset Windows because 4 years of my life is on there that I don't want gone.
This may take a while to fix, meanwhile I'll still be here on the website.
What this means: If I have to reset my PC, it will mean losing all my unpublished builds, Steam, SP, blah blah blah.
So I may not post for a while, but then again, it may be fixed soon.
See yall,
Jetpackturtle
This MAY be my resignation from SP.

Excellent.
@Jetpackturtle
@Fjorge See my new forum post.
SimplePlanes saves your planes to the Steam Cloud... I know this because I got a new laptop.
@Awsomur I will. My dad is good with computers so he'll check it out today.
@BlazeInfinity Gud, var gud!
@phanps Awesome! That's great!
If ur SP is on steam and you had allowed it to save the data to their server. Ur unpublished builds are saved. If not, good luck coz the same stuff happened to Me.
At least stay commenting and upvoting. I don’t want your account to be deleted. :’(
@Jetpackturtle
Actually no. Steam saves your SP planes to the cloud and when you access a different computer you can still have those planes.
I remember when I accidentally wiped my PC drive completely clean (I was supposed to do a reboot or something I can't remember), and it completely wiped windows 10 of my PC. Luckily we still had the Windows 7 install disks so we reinstalled Windows 7, but we lost everything that was on the PC, including my old FSX Standard. The only good thing that came out of that was I now had an excuse to buy FSX: Steam Edition, and that sort of got me involved with Steam. Basically if I hadn't wiped my PC on accident I may have never got into Steam and never would have got Simpleplanes, and that means I would never have been here. :)
Hope your PC gets better. Good luck!
@DarthAbhinav K, ship it over here :P
@DarthAbhinav ?! Wut? I'm pretty sure it will only be fixed with an AN-94 with ballistics tracking.
@DerekSP I will later.
@Jetpackturtle you can backup only the important stuff; documents, game save files, SP plane designs, etc
@DerekSP I will later.
@DarthAbhinav Kick? It's a fragile 1 inch square enclosed in a fragile motherboard!
@DerekSP I don't have a HDD big enough
@Jetpackturtle but backup your stuff anyway
@DarthAbhinav Nope, but I unseated and seated everything again
@DerekSP @DarthAbhinav @Dynamicneedle It works in Safe Mode!
@Jetpackturtle Wait actualy seriously tho; download Linux Mint and flash it onto a bootable USB drive, then plug it into your PC and boot from it, after that you SHOULD be able to access your hard drive, then just take any external HDD or another USB drive and backup all the important stuff, then you can safely reset the PC
Two words:
LINUX MINT
@Jetpackturtle dough
You earn playdough and dough
@dootdootbananabus I know, but I have to work to earn my dough, and that amounts to about 40 bucks a month.
@Jetpackturtle uh oh,you might need stronker computer
