It's not airspeed, because changing wind doesn't immediately affect it. It isn't ground speed, because it seems to integrate vertical speed (???????) somehow. What the heck is it measuring, and when are we going to get an airspeed indicator for a game with planes in the name.
@SFR yes, you are absolutely correct. It’s been that way since the beginning...it’s called SimplePlanes, after all. I would really like to see a VSI, in addition to an AS indicator and a GS readout. Most people on this game have no idea that you might be indicating 300 knots at 20,000 feet, but trueing out at around 450 knots and a faster or slower ground speed depending on winds. It might blow some minds but be educational at the same time.
@ChiChiWerx Except it considers vertical speed which ground speed normally doesn't do. It's extraordinarily strange and has no place in an airplane game, at least not without airspeed, both true and indicated, available as well.
It’s a ground speed, not an airspeed indicator.
And of course we were all raised differently. I was raised in a very language-free household, so I tend to not use profane language.
@Oski
But you’re right, overusing profanity is wrong. But one instance isn’t that.
@Oski
@Awsomur ok lol
Overusing it perhaps. But one occurrence is hardly enough to get the mods attention.
"d-mn", "h-ll" and "cr-p" are usually considered crude but acceptable. Other words are unacceptable. @Oski @SFR @MOX
@SFR ask devs/mods. I saw some people get banned for overusing it. Just saying.
@Oski When did the word hell become considered filthy language, exactly?
@SFR he means, delete the filthy language...
