I’m not one to complain. I’m actually pretty considerate. But when you try to spawn a Nieuport 17 thirteen times and every time it spawns underwater, I will get annoyed.
The glitch causes the AI to spawn below sea level, and is more likely to happen when your aircraft is lower to the ground, like when starting a level on a runway or aircraft carrier. I believe it is caused by code not registering that the water is... well... water. It clogs engines and pulls planes down to the Kraken.
It’s a simple fix: make it so AI cannot spawn if altitude is less than 0, or taking into consideration the altitude needed to gain speed and more altitiude, probably 200.
I figured if the AI terrain-avoidance system was so advanced, why wouldn’t a spawned plane not appear 300 feet below?

@RailfanEthan Hmmm... I may have stumble down upon a bigger problem than I thought... hoo-ray?
@Tengam The bug is on all platforms
@RailfanEthan This has been around since I started the game. It’s been annoying, but once i realized that it was a glitch, I got an account and posted it here. I thought it was just a minor one, but it started to affect gameplay... don’t know if it’s just me, being on mobile, or everyone. Thanks for acknowledging the problem.
Sounds like we have a bug that needs to be squashed
