So I've stopped playing simpleplanes almost completely now, not because i dont like it (great game) but because I'm designing long range, high performance miniquads.
I'll try not to make this sound like advertising because this is just a hobby for me not a big money business. I'd just like to know if anyone would like to make a model of this on SimplePlanes? Or should I just do it myself?
This is the Svelte V2. Setup for speed with 6s batteries and 6inch props it would have an 18/1
thrust/weight ratio and most likely go over 200km/h (insane considering it only weighs 485g)
This is just a cad render of course. Follow the link down below to see the price. I haven’t ordered it yet as I am rather low on funds at the present moment @SledDriver
@LiamW Very impressive. And that's obviously CNC machined. What did that cost you?
Yep. My design. It’s evolved a bit more since I posted this too @SledDriver
Very interesting. Did you design and/or build the chassis in the photo yourself?
Yes to you too. Whatever you mean. I assume it means you want to buy it so you can follow this link: https://www.armattanproductions.com/pages/kit_detail/1592 @Jetpackturtle
YES
Totally.
@LiamW
Lots of jammed props and smashed expensive equipment. Worth it @Awsomur
Imagine Nerf battles with a drone...
@LiamW
Perhaps I could make a photography octocopter and repurpose the camera gimbal to carry a nerf blaster. But that’s a few years away before I can afford it @Awsomur
Perhaps someday. :)
@LiamW
Me too! Unfortunately, that would mean building a $2000 quad. The whole quad built up (the svelte v2) will probably only cost $300 for top end components @Awsomur
Yep, I make these. Designed on fusion360 and manufactured with Armattan Productions @Liquidfox
Actually, rounding edges will have more downsides that positives unfortunately. It’s more important to lower surface area @BACconcordepilot
That quad looks incredible! But I’ve always wanted someone to make one that has a rotating turret camera for 360° angles and inbuilt Nerf blasters.
