Okay, so here's whats up
When i'm trying to mod my game on my android phone (huawei p9 lite) i go to my file manager, click the mod file and than the simpleplanes window pops up for a second and then closes again. When i go to the mods folder the file (in this case the overload mod) does appear in there, but when i open my game there is no "mods" tab.
I'tried both ways that are documented by the devs, but for me it does not appear to be working
I've been struggling with this problem a lot so all help is appreciated.

@Minecraftpoweer i gave it a try and for some reason the mods tab still does not show up. I have verified the mod file itself is working, i have no idea what else could be wrong.
Try downloading a filemanager like zarchiver and press: Android, data, scroll down till you see com.jundroo.simpleplanes and press it. Then files and see if you have a mods folder. And if you do just move the mod files there and it should work.

Okay, so now all of a sudden when i tap the mod file the game does open. But it still does not show a mods tab in the menu.
@Gestour it does open for a second (i think) but it closes itself completely after that.
Have you set the file associations?
As in, when you click on the mod, does SP open?
