I am having trouble making a map plugin.
So first off, what do I need for the unity editor to show the original islands. Is it the, Simpleplanes folder ,then the prefabs folder, then something that says IslandPlaceHolders.prefab ?
Second, how do I get unity to stop crashing every time I try to make the terrain, when it crashes it doesn't save, and if I try to save it also crashes.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
I will ask more questions throughout the making of the plugin.
@Tully2001 Is there a texture pack I need to download? If so please give me the links
@Gestour the textures wont seem to appear, so I'm just gonna resume the 737 I'm working on
@Lahoski107 that should be the first thing you do, then put everything on that.
@Gestour so when I am done, I go to components And select Map Plugin?
@Lahoski107 you dont need the island placeholders at all to put your own island in. You just use them so you can see where you are at relative to the existing islands. They must be deleted before trying to save.
The water and everything else is already in the game.
You are on your own for textures, I suggest making them, but there are plenty available on the internet.
And sorry If I keep spamming you guys but will I also need a water plane or something?
And also I don't have any textures for the island, where do I get those?
@Tully2001 @Gestour I thought of an idea. Will it work if I made the island first then put the island placeholders in?
@Gestour okay ill try again
@Lahoski107 yes 5.3.6
@Gestour And also does it have to be unity version 5.3.6pt1?
@Gestour . I am with Lenovo, So no but thank you.
@Tully2001 Lenovo ideapad 110, intel core i5 6th gen, idk how to fing out the gb ram
Yes. The islandPlaceHolders. Once it's in the scene, zero its position.
Nobody will be able to answer your second question based on the information you have provided. Would you like me to connect you with Dell tech support?
Seriously though, it sounds like that's an issue.
