Does anyone else live near an air force base. I do and its awesome because we see C-130s F-15 and F-16 and Osprey, really often. We also hear the occasional muffeld BOOM! So I was just wondering does anybody else live near one?

@EternalDarkness I'm sure there's more to it. Sure, Mikoyan and Sukhoi export some really great fighters but I have a feeling there's a robust domestic aircraft industry. I'll see what wikipedia has to say. ~Edit~ Hmmmm, it looks like Yugoslavia was a pretty heavy hitter in the aircraft world and only some of that remains today. Some beautiful fighters from the early Tito era, and some really nice turboprop light aircraft today. I guess you were right.
@F104Deathtrap there's not much to be said. A few MiG-29s, a few obsolete attack aircraft, a few trainers...
@EternalDarkness ~Sigh~ It was a joke based around the premise that Americans know nothing about geography or any history that doesn't pertain directly to the United States. Since you made me perform a verbal autopsy on my terrible joke, the least you could do is tell me about Serbian aircraft.
@F104Deathtrap nope, Serbia. Since when does Canada fly Soviet/Russian planes, and planes of Serbian origin?
@EternalDarkness Ah, so you live in Canada, eh?
I mostly just see Blackhawks, Sea Kings, and C-17's. Blackhawks are crazy-loud, I always hear them long before I actually see them, so much for the element of surprise.
cool
@Andrewtheplane MiG-29, MiG-29SMT, MiG-21, Soko G4 and J-22. Also, Mi-8/Mi-17 helicopters and Soko Gazela/Gamma helicopters
@EternalDarkness cool what planes do you see
7km from Batajnica air force base, on the final approach.
