As my builds get bigger and more complex, I find it less and less common for my planes to spawn in as AI and I know there's some criteria they have to match to work. I know there's a spawn menu but I don't want to hassle with that as I like the random variety they come in as. I also know there's some seven wing rule where an aircraft with more than seven wings will not spawn. Does anyone know the maximum limits of what you can have on an aircraft and still let it spawn as a random AI?
i’ve been having the same problem, i have a perfectly stable plane with 35 parts and 5 wings and it just won’t spawn. it has minimal xml done and basic controls. i’ve been trying to get it to work for days and it won’t spawn.
@Awsomur oof
It’s definitely not either of those, this plane is constantly spawning for me.
@RailfanEthan
@RailfanEthan I've been playing around with simple-izing my Hornet desing down to exactly 100 parts with six wings and it spawns! I think those two things might be the key factor but I'm curious if there's a max weight factor too.
@Tully2001 I think it might be random to an extent as even with a default plane library, creations like the Wasp, Hellkeska, Little Bugger, Kicking Fish, and a few others would never spawn. I'm guessing one of the requirements is that it has some sort of aircraft engine, pitch/yaw/roll controls, and again that seven wing limit.
@Tully2001 theres a part cutoff, i can't remember if it's 50 or 100
