Hypothetically if I were to make a flight sim game with possible multiplayer and what not much to the likes of the Ace Combat and War Thunder Franchises would you guys/gals be interested in such a thing? and if so, what era of aircraft would you prefer to fly (all aircraft would be completely fictional, however some would share some similarities with RL aircraft, just not a total 1 for 1 design).
There would be a planned story mode campaign that can be solo or multiplayer. Multiplayer Modes would have unlockable trees for aircraft, multiple game modes, and large areas to fly around in.
I know this sounds like a massive warp pipe dream but its something I've been wanting to do for a while and I've been really itching to try and get to developing this game, I can't promise anything happening overnight, but if enough attention to this is given I'll start work on it.
I do have to mention that as of right now my coding skills are incredibly low and that's something I am indeed working on during my free time, and hopefully sooner or later they will be reasonable for this task.
Hopefully last edit: I should pinpoint this will be in a fictional world too
Lemme know what you all think!
I've also got a strawpoll here to keep tabs on y'alls choices.

@Starbound the planned engine is to be unreal, however the actual game hasn't had much leeway as I'm also trying to conceptualize a story for a campaign mode as well.
Nice, are you using a game engine? @LegnaK
@Starbound I've made some meanial progress lately due to work, however most of the newest aircraft I have made will be making their way into game.
Hey, I just stumbled across this while searching the forums. That's a cool idea for a game you've got there. Have you made any progress on it?
@BACconcordepilot well again, it's not happening overnight, eventually it'll be that level... hopefully.
@LegnaK Overshadowed by WW2 mostly. But the personalities, chaos and innovation is far more complicated and interesting.
@F104Deathtrap that era would actually be a really cool area to explore at some point, I hate to say it, but I often forget about the 20'-30s
The best time period for fictional aircraft would be the time period that saw the fastest development: the 1920's and 1930's. Crimson Skiesis an excellent example, but not the only one. Even in real life, the sky was filled with larger than life characters. Hollywood stars, European royalty, revolver-toting postmen more similar to cowboys than couriers. It was a crazy, dangerous time.
@LegnaK np
@Minecraftpoweer thanks :D I greatly appreciate it!
@LegnaK that does sound like a good plan. I realy hope thet you have fun making a game and that people will like it. Best of wishes
@Minecraftpoweer I'm looking at the possibility of trying the Unreal Engine as the platform however I'm weary on that solely because I'm not sure how that would run on slower/older PCs and such. also about the Go Fund Me idea, I'm not 100% sure about going through with something like that until I have a little progress.
Good luck, you will porbably be needing a team as making a game by yourself is hard work. Why not make a go fund me? also wich Engine is the game going to run on?
@doge indeed it will, but hopefully it'll be worth it.
also, @Chancey21 fixed it lol, thank you.
Good luck this will take you years and a lot of time
click and learn@LegnaK
@Chancey21 I have little coding skill as of now lol that's something I am without a doubt working on, and I don't know how to do links or images on SP it's not something I've tried often haha.
All that coding skill and you can’t make a clickable link XD
@Botfinder at first it would be on PC, however once I figure out cross platforming and what not I would try and go the route of say War Thunder and have it allowed on PS4, XBone, and the likes, I'm very inexperienced in coding as of now and that's something I'm looking forward to working on.
In terms of the missions, I have updated it to say on the storyline and whatnot.
