It would be less than 1:1, if it is introduced at all. And I think it would be a result of the ratio of downloads/up votes times the # of downloads, that way a crappy plane with 100 downloads and no upvotes wouldn't give any points to the poster, but a plane with 5 upvotes and 20 downloads would
I'm not sure 1:1 is the proper ratio, but I support the idea of getting points for downloads. It would also add another layer of depth to points tracking.

I think requiring at least 1 upvote for download points is a good idea - then 1:1 is fine.

Great Idea! I had the same (1 point er download) before I even read the body.
I think that the point tiering would need to be adjusted then, to accommodate the increase in points.
