!!!WIP!!!

Design checklist (in that order);

  • Mirror test; make sure the design is saved, then mirror it. Note down any issues this creates, fix permanently fixable ones (such as parts not reconnecting properly). Issues that have to be fixed every time the design is mirrored (such as navlight colors or inverted flaps) should be included in the instructions for the user to be aware of.
  • Navlight check; make sure all navigation lights behave correctly, AG8 toggles all lights, landing lights come on when landing gear is deployed, red/green wingtip lights are correctly on left/right sides.
  • Splash test; spawn at Wright Airport, wait several seconds in silence to hear any splashing sound effects indicating that a label or other part with small collision isn't properly connected and is falling through world geometry, also reveals larger unconnected parts falling on tarmac under plane.
  • Trim test; make sure trim and VTOL sliders behave in their intended way.
  • Float test; land aircraft in water, make sure it floats in a somewhat realistic way.
  • Design name; make sure the design is saved under a correct name. This is the file name that is used when someone downloads and saves the design and the name that shows up on radar when the plane is spawned as AI or in multiplayer, NOT the online website name. It is therefore important this name is correct and descriptive.
  • Predecessor ID; make sure the ID of the intended predecessor design is correct in the current design's XML file (for auto-credit or challenge entries, when applicable).

Creating a livery;

Any parts added in the process of creating a livery for an existing design should be set to no mass, no drag, and disabled drag calculations, so they become purely cosmetic. Care has to be taken to not accidentally copy one of the cosmetic parts (especially fuselages) and not to use it in any other structural way.
All DAC designs use a minimal amount of color slots, meaning most of the palette is available for a custom livery. The color usage should still be as efficient as possible, and any livery should add as few colors as possible and shall not replace any of the default DAC colors.

    So seven times seven plus seven divided by seven hundred seventy seven equals seventy seven then divide by seven and then you'll get 7.7777777777. Math in a nutshell.
