8 years later…

I really want This Arresting gear. I love the taking off and landing on carriers and right now i am using a few parachutes in my tail to stop me from flying off the edge. My F/A-18B uses this and flies great. It just doesn't feel natural like a tail hook

@Viper28 and thats why i thought of the elevators and storage inside of the carriers plus 2 more around the new island

tail hooks would be useless without arrestor cables and vice versa so it would have to be two things added instead of one. otherwise i am all for this idea

You can make working tail hooks using rotator as it is the drag they produce will slow a Carrier landing. As for flaps again they can be sorted with rotators. It would be nice for the carriers to get catapults but detachable rocket motors would do the same and be far simpler.

And landing lights, more landing gear (diff. sizes), weapons (of course), and 2 more carriers at the new island with workable elevators and storage under the deck on all of them...

On the wings be able to add working flaps for landing or combat settings. Along with the regular ones for roll, pitch, and yaw.
