I usually play as Pyro, but I'm frustrated at her lack of long-range weaponary, and engie is useless in a fight with anybody if his sentry isn't up, pls help me find a better class to play as.

No problem. I used to be a pyro main myself, but I switched over to soldier. However, I do have some good times with the Backburner,detonator, and powerjack sometimes.

Basically, It you can't push out of spawn. Don't go as the 4,th sniper. Go as heavy or soldier. Look at the team composition in the class menu. If you dont have a Medic, bite the bullet and go Medic. All heavies? Might need a scout, or pyro. All pyros? Go Soldier or Demo. If a spy is terrorizing your team, to pyro. If the Intel keeps getting stolen, to Engie.
@MrTyTheGreat hard to know what my team needs when all they talk about on the voice chat is fapping, frisky times in bed, and other NSFW stuff...

The best person to play as, is the one in which you can help your team most. (Also, you called pyro a she. He's easily offended, and I bet she'd be angry if he heard you call her that. Valve jokes)
