I'm currently making a ship in SP, however when I reached almost 300~ (296 to be exact), FPS slows down to 3-2 FPS, I could not finish it because of the lag.
Could it be Possible to lower the lag in SP (Seen some planes with almost 2000-3000 Parts, how it could be possible?)
Here is my settings in SP:
Graphics: Medium
Aircraft Reflections: None
Terrain: High
Anti Aliasing: MSAA 2x
Physics: Medium
Shadows: Medium
Water: High
Hardware:
64 bit Operating System
Processor: AMD-A6455M APU with Radeon HD Graphics, 2.10 GHz, Dual Core
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7500G
RAM: 4 GB
I'm using a laptop, Windows 7 Home Basic, the laptop's age is almost 5 Years.
@UPGRADINGS open task manager and keep monitor of your CPU. If your CPU usage went too high, end some unused background processes
@CruzerBlade even if i don't use chrome its still laging
Get some more RAM, if you're on 64bit system you should take advantage of it. Buy a pair of 4gig sticks, they shouldn't be too much money and they're outrageously easy to stick in.
You shouldn't let heavy apps (especially chrome) running in background with SP open if you want performance
Mine
Graphics: All max
Hardware:
64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 with classic shell installed
Ram 6 GB
Max part count to run properly 600+
Oh, and my laptop is a 6 years old Dell Inspiron 14
Shadows, water and physics to low and you are good to go. For playing multiplayer I would suggest lowest settings and hope that noone will spawn 1000 parts plane :)
I have had similiar setup and run 500 parts with ease
Try lowering your Physics
For the game quality setting, try to set everything to it's lowest, or just click the quality preset to low, that will make the game run smoother.
