@Chancey21 if we're talking about finished kits with no paint, Revell's pretty good, with all that detail. With Bandai's High Grade Gundams, the detail isn't prominent unlike other Grades
@Chancey21 actually it makes things easier for painting. Instead of masking over a surface, take a piece you want to paint, paint it and badaboom. For example, instead of painting and masking something like an engine nacelle or exhaust or vent which is moulded in on pieces in Revell kits and such, Bandai will have those details as separate pieces
@Chancey21 Revel makes good kits for their price, but tamiya have a far superior fit most of the time.
though 99% of the time I buy Revel
I got bored and took an SCX10 Cherokee body and threw it on a slash. No regrets.
And about weathering, it's easy on both

Well Revel kits still come out looking nicer @BaconRoll

Well that takes the fun out of it, you might as well buy a pre built model @BaconRoll
@Chancey21 oh I'm a Revell fan too, but Bandai have better fitting parts, no need for glue, less flash marks and less need for painting if you're busy
Revel makes the best models Tamiya makes the best paint but Model Master makes the best glue @BaconRoll
Tamiya are great for tools and paints, but Bandai are the best for quality
Tamiya kits have such a nice fit (most of the time). I try and get those when I can for planes. Haven’t built other vehicles though
