This is my official plane Classification. It helps me name aircraft and classifies them into many different distinctions. You may use this classification as you wish, just if you upload an aircraft utilizing this, somewhere in your description please say (without quotes) "This Upload Uses Walnut's Plane Classification". This classification appears complex, but examples are abundant throughout the page, so without further ado, Enjoy!
Dr - Drone
A - Attacker
X - Scramjet (Hypersonic jet with a powerful laser cannon used to blast other aircraft from far away. These aircraft are often at Mach 5 or even Mach 10 in Simpleplanes standards. For more info, watch this video
H - Helicopter
PL - Patrol
AERO - Aerobatics craft/Stunt craft (Ex: Blue Angels)
AG - Attack Glider
T - Trainer
TA - Test Aircraft (used to test experimental weapons from other aircraft)
PT - Personnel Transport
C - Civilian/civil
CG - Cargo
MR - Multirole
F - Fighter
B - Bomber
CB - Carrier-based
S - Stealth
R - Recon
I - Interceptor
GA - Ground Attack
D - Defence (defending convoys, bombers, bases, etc).
EX - Experiment
GS - Gunship
N - Naval
V - Vehicle
AAF - Anti-Air Flak vehicle
AV - Attack Vehicle
GtAV - Ground to Air Vehicle
DB - Dive Bomber
HM - Historic Model (for when I build an aircraft originally from a very real historic aircraft, but it's not a replica.)
Example: CBSF-71 Mk XIV = Carrier Based Stealth Fighter. Mark 14
Aircraft number (F-##) is based on the part count. (edited in 2/4/2018) If it's a small plane, you add the third digit with the other numbers (139 = 13 + 9 = 22). if the answer is still three digits, repeat the adding step until it becomes right. And if it's STILL a three-digit number, then just leave it out. Lastly, if it is SOMEHOW the same name as another plane, then just take the number and minus 1. (38 - 1 = 37)
Marks (Mk # in Roman Numerals)
I - 1
II - 2
III - 3
IV - 4
V - 5
VI - 6
VII - 7
VIII - 8
IX - 9
X - 10
XI - 11
XII - 12
XIII - 13
XIV - 14
XV - 15
XVI - 16
XVII - 17
XVIII - 18
XIX - 19
XX - 20
XXI - 21
XXII - 22
XXIII - 23
XXIV - 24
XXV - 25 (UPPER LIMIT)
ENGINE CLASSIFICATION
P - Propeller (It's a propeller engine)
J - Jet (It's a jet engine)
P.## (like with normal aircraft, this is part count)
J.26 - Jet engine, 26 parts
Weapon Classification
MG - Machine Gun (damage of 14.9 or lower and fire rate must be REALISTIC)
CNN - Cannon (damage of 15 or higher and fire rate must be REALISTIC)
RG - Rotary Gun/Minigun (must be the minigun block and can't have a lower fire rate of 15 Rounds Per Second)
LS - Laser System (MUST be a fire rate of at least 50 Rounds Per Second or more and a spread rate of 0.1 or less)
How to Name the Weapon
put in what the weapon is, add a dash (this -), add the number of damage on it (default is 8), and add the mark. Example: A laser in its 2nd mark with 25 damage would be called the LS-25 Mk II
Bomb/Rocket Classification
BMB - Bomb
RKT - Unguided Rocket
MSL - Missile
WMD - Weapon of Mass Destruction (Bomb that holds 10-19 explosives inside)
NCW - Nuclear Weapon (holds 20 or more bombs inside)
PCM - Pilot Controlled Missile
GB - Gliding Bomb
BMB/RKT/MSL/PCM # - Part Count
Example - MSL-6 (Missile with 6 different parts)
If it is a modified base part, name it by the fueltime/range
Example - MSL-60100 (Missile, fueltime 60, range 100)
I don't expect many people to see this discussion, but if you do find it, please give it feedback. Your support is critical! <3
@AnOlympicWalnut I'm glad that's understandable.
@MIWTheGamer I understand that. I’d rather you get caught up on health terms rather than SP.
@AnOlympicWalnut I used a new wing system it's okay, it looks good, but performance starts to lack. Sorry I was out and stuff, I have to stay fit, I don't want to risk my health.
@MIWTheGamer noice
@AnOlympicWalnut CB1B-1 will be posted in a bit, it's more a dive bomber than anything though.
@MIWTheGamer you did not just do that XD
I just realized, anyone who uses GtAV must be one of those big gamers, lol, GTAV(Grand Theft Auto V).
@AnOlympicWalnut I'll be awhile, since I also have to design it, lol.
@MIWTheGamer fine by me! I’ll love to see the final product!
I might use this on a gun, I might make a HYPER-REALISTIC aircraft, too bad I have no blueprinting papers, that'd be preferred, ;) when it's done I'll let you know.
This classification is similar to the USAF classification, but I wasn’t intending for it to be the same. Sorry if I looked like I was basing it off of the USAF. If I was, then I would credit the USAF. Thanks for the question so others would know, @Jacobdaniel
@AnOlympicWalnut someone is getting the wrong information
I don’t remember that being a hobby exactly, @stig27.
@AnOlympicWalnut also has a predisposition to get in trouble and steal wives
nice
I use a similar, though not quite as elaborate system. Kudos.
@destroyerP
B - BeeCraft (an aircraft that cruises at an average of 30 mph, flaps its structurally poor wings up and down, breaks all known laws of flight, and is often codenamed "Barry")
Lol cannon classification
That’s a long forum post, could have insert the bee movie script lol
