So, I'm fairly new to Simple Planes but I understand the game fairly well and am familiar with all the parts and what they do. I do not, however, have the knowledge to make really great planes. This is a page dedicated to the more experienced players helping out the newer players (how to merge blocks together, for example, or how to make rotators easier to use.) Any advice is helpful and seemingly basic knowledge could really help out some of the newer players! Also, newer players feel welcome to ask any questions that could help you become a better builder. (Also up-votes would be very appreciated because they could help this page to be seen easier by pros and noobs.)
@Meawk amen
@nickasaurusrex middle school sucks
@xXFighterPilotXx The numpad movement system on pc
So does anyone know how to make good cockpits?
If you truly wish to rise, do not let rising be the priority. Let your love snd passiob for the game shoe in your work. Make it excellent and you will undoubtedly become great
Jk. Its little crazy though...
@draymond hmm. I've made too many promises already. Plus juggling middle school and intensifying robotics I'm swamped. Honestly wish someone would do it for me XD
@nickasaurusrex please dont
@draymond great! I was thinking not a lot of people looked at those so I stopped
@xXFighterPilotXx if you wish to part clip rotate the part into position it will work normally
Pink....
So, what is the best way to make good cockpits? Cockpits specifically pertaining to A. Large cargo planes. While the new cockpit blocks are helpful for this, it is very hard/impossible to build around them and still make them flow well. A good example would be the new AC-130J. I'm talking about not quite this complicated but still the basic concept? And B, I have trouble making those cool WWII fighter cockpits out of structural panels. Example: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/RwiHs4/B-29-Superfortress Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!
You may know of me from my old name PlanesOfOld but anyway, I know about making planes of pre- ww2 the most, but I'm good a jets too, so I will be able to help anyone
By this i mean his page on modding
@nickasaurusrex this helped me to start modding it is very helpful. Im still learning but i have been somewhat successful :)
Have your com in front of your col and wheels can turn
Look at my page for mod tutorials for android users
ALWAYS make sure that if u have missiles, bombs, or externals, that the plane will still fly after they r detached. I have seen quite a few planes that after u detach their bombs it flips and falls to the ground
Well for merging (commonly called part clipping) can be done by editing the xml files, or you can pretty much just put the two parts where you want and rotate one of them in the same direction 4 times. It will still be red but it shouldn't collide with the other part
@xXFighterPilotXx Be careful with customizing your wings. In some positions they will not work!
