I am experimenting with new ways to deliver nukes. Because I suck at XML modding, I have so far just been using guided bombs from Dimkal's weapons packs; to convert them into nuclear missiles, I go into the XML file and simply change the part types to suit my needs. Today, I tried replacing the missile with an unguided rocket, but I kept nuking myself because the unguided rocket is very short-range and automatically explodes after flying a short distance. Would it be possible for someone to make a long-range (several miles) unguided rocket? (If not, an Interceptor with an extra connection point added might work.)
@F104Deathtrap Doesn't look like they'll actually dumb-fire if you flip the detacher. I just ended up modifying someone's glide bomb. Thanks for the help!
@cheese99 This is the first plane I ever posted. It carries 4 interceptor missiles that can be dumbfired without lock by pressing AG7. They are nothing special, but feel free to use them.
@F104Deathtrap Just tried this, didn't work. Here's the XML code:

When I try to launch it, it just falls off without actually starting the missile.
@cheese99 Flip the detacher so it falls off when you activate it. Attach the nuke to the back of the detacher then attach the missle to the bottom part. The whole thing will launch when you activate the detacher, you just have to hide it all inside the missile somehow with nudgung and scaling.
@F104Deathtrap I’ve done that before but I’ve trying to do it with a nuke attached
@cheese99 Interceptors, Gaurdians and Infernos can be "dumb fired" like an unguided rocket if you put them on a detacher and then activate the detacher.
@F104Deathtrap I’m just looking at the unguided rocket, which doesn’t have most of those modifications afaik. I thought it could be useful for delivering a nuke to a ground target and getting the hell out of there before it explodes. Unfortunately, @WNP78 Laser Designator doesn’t work anymore, so I would have to use an unguided rocket.
@cheese99 Yup, it's all in there. The missiles have attributes for thrust, max speed, turning rate, all kinds of stuff.
It is very much possible
@F104Deathtrap Thanks! Any way to give it a higher speed?
