first of all here are the rules: only criminals that failed or succeded in funny ways or let the people they robbed or frauded look dumb (or showed issues with the system and changed sides later on). and no killers.

as a start: konrad kujau the forger who forged the hitler diarys. a simple quote is best to set up this actualy very nice forger: i delivered good work and get payed for it. normaly you would expect criminals to be evil incarnated but kujau was at least somewhat of a super nice guy. wikipedia link link

and the second one: fridrich wilhelm voigt better known as the captain of koepenick. he showed issues with the law system at the time in germany and also showed issues with the higly militaristic culture. he was a convicted criminal and due to some issues with thw law system (i think i rembered that he didnt get a passport or other ids so he could not get a job legaly). and so he deviseda a plan to get money: he got his hands on a old army captains uniform and used some soldiers to rob the towns vault of koepenick (now berlin koepenick). he got pardoned by wilhelm the second for this because he showed up the complete government. wikipedia link link

and as a nice finisher: one bright criminal stole the suit of a donut shop maskot and tried to rob a bank in it. he got stuck in the revolving door.
