ello again! so i just posted a new creation, the D-141 hellbarren anti projectile gun, and i used the tank control mod and the advanced targeting mods to allow for accurate gunning, but this got me thinking. can someone possibly program a combat a gunner AI that uses the same or similar script to the tank control mod to give the AI its controls so it will have x and y controls (vtol and trim being the best for that), then give it the ability to have the advanced targeting so it will shoot at the spot the crosshair is so that way the gun can target aircrafts, and of course allow it to see projectiles to such as missiles, bombs, torps and rocket and their travel path or at least allow choice of what the gun will target. allowing for players to be able to build like a warship that has auto anti aircraft and anti projectile guns so that way the player can focus on what ever he is doing, hell we could recreate world of warships in simpleplanes XD. but hey just a idea to think about ^^

@Flyer24 ai will only shoot at things in front of it. Reverse cockpit to continue.

I was hoping about an Ai enemy turret on the ground or you can spwn any ware on that islad or airport hope someone can find a sulotuion
Well, I made a simple back turret subassembly, put it on a bomber, made the bomber so it has a strong (XML edited) gyro that's always on and no control surfaces, so it keeps flying straight. Then I set my turret controls to pitch n roll, then put a small cockpit onto my turret. Now I have a big headache why I'm not being fired at by that damn AI when I fly behind it it with my fighter, even tho I "stupided" every single thing down for that Artifical Idiot's level... :/
If it's done with a static object like an AI flak gun, it kinda does work so... Idk, this sucks. So yep, it'd be really useful to have different modes for AI: gunner, fighter plane (what we have now), bomber plane and helicopter... AI Choppers cannot fly at all either.

@squideater56 with this mod you can target missile by yourself with high accuracy. Automatic system is more difficult. But this interesting idea.
@MOPCKOEDNISHE well I was thinking the turrets would be built by the player, like my 141-hellbarren anti projectile gun so it would use the same basis as your tank control block where it converts the controls from the vtol and trim into controls that the system can understand and use with more accuracy than human, also, whould it be possible for the system to be able to target missiles, rockets, bombs and torps if programmed right?

@squideater56 I do not know how to change artificial intelligence. But the idea with automatic turrets on the craft of a player is possible. In general, I imagine an algorithm for targeting an enemy target. This can be done even with a turret that uses the axes VTOL and Trim. But for a large number of turrets are needed non game modded rotators. I do not know how to make them. But @CarnationRED knows.

@randomusername download tank control and advanced targeting mods and then download my 141-hellbarren,go do some target practice,once you do, imaging an combat AI doing it for you, while your off doing something else, thats what i mean, world of warships has then, the player runs the main guns while anti aircraft guns target and fire apon enemy airplanes automatically. thats what i want,and i want it to also target projectiles such as missiles, rockets, torpedos and bombs.
