XML guide. In overload, click the plus and type in "damperMultiplier" and set the value to 10. If it doesn’t work, times the value by 10 and try again. Repeat
@Marine The is what I believe what diffuseIntertiaTensors being enabled does:
Since the piston is made of 2 separate objects, the object on the end of the piston moves independently of the main craft, thus taking time to adjust to the heading of the aircraft.
Based on that assumption, if that xml does not work, here's two things you might be able to do:
Use gyros on the end of the piston. It'd be a complex setup, but could potentially work.
Strengthen the connection to the flaps. If you could join another piston connecting the flaps to the wing, then that would probably solve the issue. Of course, connecting this may be an issue.
@Marine i did it like this: xmlVersion="6" diffuseInertiaTensors="false"> if you open the xml file you write it down on the same line as the xmlVersion thing. you make a space and then write it down and then true or false . just do like the text but i have to warn you that the plane can avt wierd like if it get damaged it might just stop working?
@Minecraftpoweer hm, I don't know how because I'm not good at with xml file edit,,,
if you don't mind, could you give me the screenshot how to do that??
@DPSAircraftManufacturer yep
made from paneled fuselage
@LiamW oof
Oh yeah, pistons don’t come under hinges category. Oops @Marine
@LiamW does Piston have a damperMultiplier??
ofcouse I did it to hinges, and set Piston's preventBreaking true
Also type in "preventBreaking"

I gave up building new 747
and leave for a while
@CursedFlames didn't work either way,,,
maybe I have to give up building

Good luck with fixing your issue...
@Minecraftpoweer as you said, my plane flies so wierd:(((
@Marine i did it like this: xmlVersion="6" diffuseInertiaTensors="false"> if you open the xml file you write it down on the same line as the xmlVersion thing. you make a space and then write it down and then true or false . just do like the text but i have to warn you that the plane can avt wierd like if it get damaged it might just stop working?
@DerekSP omg, then that's not good idea,,
@Minecraftpoweer I tried that once, resulted in basically all my rotators falling apart and the plane handling as if it was flying through deep space
@Minecraftpoweer hm, I don't know how because I'm not good at with xml file edit,,,
if you don't mind, could you give me the screenshot how to do that??
@Marine in the xml file
@Minecraftpoweer how can I use that??
@Marine use "diffuseInertiaTensors"
@CursedFlames @Minecraftpoweer unfortunatly, those didn't work,,,:(
@Marine Should be able to, scroll to the bottom of the list then press the plus sign to add it manually if it's a hidden attribute.
@LiamW can set it on overload??
@Minecraftpoweer @CursedFlames thanks, I'll try
There is a damper XML attribute
@Marine Some things you could try:
Make the parts on the end of the piston massless.
Remove aircraft collision from the piston and the parts connected to the end of the piston.
Cry because I don't have any other solutions :(
Sorry about the problem, hopefully you can fix it.
Connection and the connected part needs to be the same weight but if that doesnt work i might have a different solution
@DerekSP now hate pistons
using hinges to simulate is not a good idea for making flaps.
now it's time for me to leave SP for a while I guess
