When the 2nd tower collapsed, Manhattan was engulfed in smoke. A few hours earlier, the captain of a fishing boat saw the planes crash into the towers. He and many other fishermen were thinking the same thing. They sailed to the dock and there they saw a crowd of people covered in dust and smoke. They couldn’t stay there because breathing that stuff in was deadly. The fishermen took the people onto the boats and got them across the Hudson River. They risked their lives with all the toxins in the air and managed to bring over 10,000 survivors off of Manhattan
Pointing it out
I’m just saying that @TheCreatorandDestroyer99
@TheCreatorandDestroyer99 nevermind some comments it's better that way.
I still don’t get what XxTactic who talking to. I stated all of what he said in my comment. @stig27
@TheCreatorandDestroyer99 yeah it was more credible that it wasn't only fishing boats. Nice idea though.
Kinda like the inverse of the Hudson River miracle
To whom are you speaking to?@XxTactixMatexX
You realize this evacuation was bigger than Dunkirk and that they did this in 9 hours while Dunkirk I believe was in several days.
I looked up the story when I posted my first comment and what came up was this. “As I reported in my book, crews aboard ferries, fishing boats, and tour boats joined mariners of all kinds to launch an unplanned maritime evacuation in New York Harbor that delivered nearly 500,000 stranded civilians off Manhattan Island in less than nine hours.” @stig27
@TheCreatorandDestroyer99 well some fishing boats can carry a LOT of people if required.
@TheCreatorandDestroyer99 I guess so, I never heard about that.
10,000?! @FastDan
Thank you for sharing this.
