@ThePrototype ok i will. to clafiy it is a fixed angle gyroscope that i made pre gyroscope update if you want to use in your project you will have to adjust it to fit your needs.
gyro by itself
example using it with basic functionality
you can use it and make very complicated functionality like all direction tilt and stuff. It exploits a bug in the physics of the game. To make it suite you it will take a lot of modifying .
Would you mind linking me to it? I just wanna see how to works @Warbrine
Yes it Is. It's possible but complicated . I've made a universal mechanism for that but it requires the use of a takeoff platform
Came up with that on the spot lol @Zyvx
@LiamW this is a real method of leveling, good thought.
If you have a hinged weight on a pole that is connected to the center of mass that starts towards the back helping for lift, and swings forward like a wrecking ball shifting weight to center of plane but lower than fuselage creating that person to glider effect. With pistons and hinges you could also manipulate the direction the weight hangs til your plane is flying level. The moving weight will have to be heavy enough that you will know it works as soon as forward hanging causes dive and back hanging causes lift. Then work on making it able to swing side to side to where it can turn your plane slowly. Get all four directions and the weight itself could control the plane. Some of my infinite flyer creations use the weight shifting to prevent altitude loss, even though they use gyros, but they gave me the idea above. I have another idea, but its complex, and yet too be tested. I will let you know of any other findings. A generic auto level trick is to have the weight free hang from the com, the heaviest part of a structure likes to go down first, like lawn darts. Picture gravity as your leveler. Hope this helps.
That's what I'm trying to figure out.... I've tried 2 systems of my own design. They have both failed @Minecraftpoweer
@ThePrototype but did you find out how it worked? like if it shifted the weight or something?
It pretty much leveled the craft out if it rolled to one side, since most people thought an aircraft had to be stable in the air @Minecraftpoweer
@ThePrototype ok there wans't a lot on wikipedia in English as you said but what did the autopilot do?
The plane had a primitive autopilot system and I intend to replicate it. And turning wont be a problem since i can just put a small rudder in the front to increase your turning time @Minecraftpoweer
Also the plane had other forms of Control, increasing and decreasing the wing area, moving the wing froward and aft, and twisting the wing tips up and down @Minecraftpoweer
@ThePrototype also why do you need it to be stable but without gyro? like wing leveling mode or what?
@ThePrototype so it will make a 180 turn in 3,5 years? XD
Also the version you are talking about is the Éole, completely different than the Avion besides the engine and the basic design @Minecraftpoweer
My version will be able to fly, and it turns with the rudder. The wings having dihedral add a small amount of vertical lift so when you use the rudder it rolls the craft in the direction you are trying to turn @Minecraftpoweer
@ThePrototype the thing can't even turn. i mean if you are making the later version it had yaw Controls but nothing else and it shoudn't be able to fly more than 100 meters so why are you making it?
But I'm stubborn and refuse to..... @Minecraftpoweer
@ThePrototype but you can just hide it
Update @Nerfenthusiast
@Minecraftpoweer @Spacedoge12345plane update
@XjayIndustrys I will tag you on an unlisted post
Oh ok i dont think so without a gyro @ThePrototype
Dude link me to the Avion 3. I love that “technically not powered flight"
why don't you just use a gyro?
