Hey. I was wondering if some modder or script kitty out there could make a mod for flaps. if there is a mod for it just send it this way :-). Hopefully the devs can get around to putting them in in the next update :-D.

@DPSAircraftManufacturer what I mean is that by now, I might have over a hundred planes with flaps. That's over two hundred flaps :)
@DPSAircraftManufacturer flaps are easy. Use this technique to get pretty wings and set inner control surface rotators to VTOL and their input to "-1,0".
@DPSAircraftManufacturer might be over a hundred by now.
@DPSAircraftManufacturer with what?
@DPSAircraftManufacturer no problem.
@DPSAircraftManufacturer you get to have flaps that only move one way (down) and that produce extra lift exactly where you put them.
@DPSAircraftManufacturer stock control surfaces act depending on the position of the wing, not position of the control surface. If most of the wing is ahead of CoM, elevators and flaps will act "reversed".
@EternalDarkness Ah thank you. tried all except the second one mentioned. im stupid
:O a FranticMatty rip-off!
If you don't use a mod yet, I could just post a wing with built in flaps that you could resize.
There are multiple ways of making flaps:
- via XML (use Overload mod, set input of a control surface to VTOL;
- put a wing piece on a rotator and nudge the assembly into place;
- Attach wing to a fuselage block attached to a rotator for a full custom (fuselage-covered) wing.
if you have pc, just change the angle of the wing to 45, and make the wing rotate on VTOl
