Have any of you fine people ever played a combat flight sim with a VR headset?
I just watched a youtube video about a guy that spent 14 years building his own Spitfire out of salvaged parts, but he's not even a pilot! Imagine, owning your own working Spitfire and never even taking her for a spin.
That got me thinking about how lovely it would feel to be able to sit inside a fighter and push the throttle all the way up to the stops without having to worry about engine fatigue or avgas costs. There was a big fuss when DCS and War Thunder began supporting the Oculus Rift, but I never hear anything about it anymore. Have you tried it? What's it like?
@BaconEggs Both. Dangerous was fun, but I got bored with it. SC just makes me mad to think about, now. Im sure it'll be out before too much longer, but I have doubts about how much fun it'll be.
@F104Deathtrap well then try elite dangerous (or star citizen, if you have the money)
@BaconEggs Hmm. I used to play Eve with two monitors, but that game is nothing but chat windows and spreadsheets.
I've tried my second monitor
but with an incompetent graphics whatever it didn't work that well
