SP lets you export a design as a 3D mode .OBJ filel and that very nice, but can it import 3D models or has anybody come up with a mod to do so?

SP Mod tools.
@atgxtg you bet I am. I probably always will be
@LiamW Aren't you always working on designing a plane?
@atgxtg I'm working on designing a plane right now so I really wish I could import it into simpleplanes. I just don't think it will work easily but you can certainly try
@LiamW I figured it wasn't simple. As for "easily" getting the right shape, well not necessarily for me, at least not yet. I tend to work on smaller designs and often run into situations where I can't quite get the shape I want out of it. Scaling helps somewhat, but it also brings new problems.
But it was just a thought. There are quite a few good 3D plane models out there.
You can easily get the right shape but it would be a useless lump unless you give it the right properties, animations, etc. it’s not as simple as it becoming a big fuselage block (as far as I know) @atgxtg
@LiamW I was thinking that even if the object was turned into bunches of fuselage blocks it would still be a way to get the right shape into the game.
@InternationalAircraftCompany It should work except there is no way to import the files. In theory it should be a two way process.

GAME OVER MAN! GAME EFFIN OVER!
What if you export a plane as a 3D model
and then
import the model back into SP?
does it allow you to export in obj file? i have to try this, it could be useful for clickbaiting by future stuff
@LiamW so it’s like putting a rock in SimplePlanes
Some people have managed to do it with the mod api but it isn’t easy or practical. You end up with an object that does nothing unless you are a skilled programmer
Nah it can't import.
