Now guys and girls, when you get to the point where you decide your build is finished and good enough to share with the world it would be a good idea to actually do the following:
1)take the first photo from an angle that shows the build in it's best light I.e. you can see what it is (a diagonal top/side view is best)
Dont: take a front view from 6miles away, use a background that is so confusing you can't make out what on earth the build is etc
2) use all 3 photos to show all aspects, so first one is the flashy view clickbait, the rest show off it's characteristics like a top view or side view
3) use colours that are visible against the background, I'm not going to click on a black build on a black background.
Just some helpful tips, oh and here's some screenshots of bad examples (Not aimed particularly st these users they where just on the first page of new). The second screenshot has a reasonably good example at the top and then a bad example
Thank you for posting this; it has been needed for far too long @RamboJutter
@BoeyingOfficial I didn't say to change the black background, to be fair the stock background is miles better than some of the custom ones, the starry one hurts my head.
But I can’t change my black background because IOS :(
My "757" and Y3 are great examples of this. I know the pencil jet was a joke but it can also be used as an example for how not to present your plane. The Y3 thumbnail it just too far away aswell
Ok @RamboJutter
@spefyjerbf @ACEPILOT109 if I'd done it on the pc I would have, on my phone I didn't, if they get upset I'll crop them on the pc.
Yea @spefyjerbf
Probably should not include the names of the players (in the screenshots). Even if it's not meant to call them out - they could still feel like they are being singled-out. Otherwise, good post!
