Lately I’ve been searching up SP on YT and I’ve come across some old videos, and sometimes the yo on the site. These are vids from more than 3 years ago, after the steam release. The amount of upvotes that the planes are getting on the front page is about 20% higher than what it is now.
The site is getting so inactive that today I’ve been on FB so much to entertain myself from boredom it’s not funny.
This site is getting boring. Only 12 forum posts were posted in the past 24 hours, and there was a period of 8 hours when no posts had been made, only to be broken by a post complaining about it.
Common, anybody who says SP isn’t dying is completely bonkers. It’s starting to get really noticeable. It’s getting really boring!
Yeah just a pointless forum post to entertain myself from this boredom a bit. :/

I miss the community. Good builders like @BlyatMan and @REW and @Dann810 and a friend @88blaroo became inactive and it's sad to see good people leaving the community
@Spacedoge12345plane cant believe I've not seen your builds, I'm a big fan of obscure and early instruments. If I had used the jet stream I probably would've seen them tho. but I don't use it cause its annoying

Yah, it’s sorta dead. But SR2 is coming out soon, so, we will have that.
It doesn't help that the website is so useless, it's constantly coming up with errors and struggles with upvotes or comments
I just turned 3 years a couple of weeks ago! I do see the inactivity, but that is okay because the true followers will always be here. The one and done players will leave and the dedicated players will continue to play and upload.

@DemonSniper8 In the old days when I first started, ever single upload got an upvote within 5 mins, the jet stream is partly to blame as before you got notifications when someone you follow uploads something now nobody uses the jet stream and never know when people upload unless its on the front page...
@PlanesOfOld I got featured for the 1st time and got like 40 upvotes, but my regular builds are only getting a third of what they used to...
@MrDoolittle I wonder how long it will take people to make a multilayer mod for SR2...
A fully functioning multiplayer would help stretch the life time of game but for some reason everyone throws a hissy fit about how impossibly hard it would be to add that. Then when ya go to ask about working multiplayer into their brand new game people get mad asking about what you even would do in a multiplayer rocket game. For some reason this community just shits on the idea of multiplayer at every turn even though it is the life saver of many ‘o game.
Who knows, maybe the next 1.8 update (which I heard is happening) will stoke the fires of SP one last time before it fades away.
If you have no ideas for builds or your not very good at building, yea I can see SP quickly growing boring for that person. I think many people are also waiting on SR2. I more than likely won't be getting SR2 at launch, so I'll be stuck on SP for a while before I get the chance to go to SR2, which isn't a huge deal as I still have many airplane concepts and ideas I want to make in SP. Besides, I heard in SR2 they don't have typical aircraft engines yet, only rocket engines.
So am I bonkers?
I have noticed too, I was watching some old SP videos too.
I have definitely noticed a significant lack of upvotes on my builds.
Perhaps people don't like wing builds anymore.

There is not a single update for like a year lol
And yes people do get bored on games
And school started again, and now is the time they start to give more work
I’ve just had too much going on to do anything SP related, maybe others are just really busy too
