It is 1 December
The day when the Great unification between Transylvania and the Kingdom of Romania happened
Lets take it from the begining
Or from the end of ww1 more exactly :
Austria-Hungary colapses, the Germans surenders, the Russian revolution happens
Romania was on the winning side and even if her soldiers were pushed all the way back to Moldova, they distracted the Central Powers wich bought time for the French who were very close to colapsing in the battle of Verdun
After the war, we got what we wanted,
Bessarabia gains independence from the Russian empire and united with the Kingdom of Romania on 15 March 1918
Bukovina Joins Romania on 28 November.
And at last, the unification between Transylvania and the motherland is made on 1 December 1918!
Unfortunately, today Romania doesn't have all it's historic provinces, we lost Northern Bukovina and Bessarabia in ww2 but, that is not what i am celebrating today.Today, Romanians are celebrating the greatest event of our history!
