Hi guys,
I haven't been building anything for a while (school sucks) but I finally got some time to put in some actual effort, and I think, I got something you've never seen before. I've been interested in mechanical linkages for a long time, and it's about time I made a good one. So, after quite a bit of time experimenting and adjusting (god help the angling)...
Here's a bona fide Klann Linkage.
As far as I can find, no one has done it properly before. Here's a little preview to the mechanism:
In action:
Color coded:
Red - axles
Blue - structural
Gray - leg parts
White - joints
Movement Overlay
How it works: The turning of the main axle (back, small red) pulls back the first elbow leg (gray), which act on both rocker axles (front two reds) and give the unique movement pattern of the leg, marked with the small beacon light.
Now, to make this walk, we need to make a transmission for the turning of the axle and a way to do this all effectively. So far I've created a wind-powered transmission that can turn 6000lbs of weights, so I'll probably come out soon with a wind-powered walker.

@PvPSky Ahh I see what you mean now.
Well as I said, the Car would be too heavy etc., so if we don’t find anything that is strong enough to support all the Weight and yet be lightweight, it won’t happen. A more viable Solution is finding an unlimited Energy Source, which would create Energy but wouldn’t need something so it would work. Because we have Cars driven by Electricity, which is already more healthy for Nature than Gasoline, and if we found an unlimited Power Source, many Problems would be solved and we wouldn’t ruin Earth this much. Then we could use Cars without worrying about Earth being destroyed by Carbon Dioxide. That is way more logic than a Car driven by Wind. Also, saying it’s possible because we can send Humans to Space, doesn’t make Sense.
@tsampoy
@PvPSky It just needs a lot of engineering, if we can send humans to the moon, we can maek a wind powered car
@PvPSky It's possible.
Anyway, awesome System/Idea! (Referring to this Creation)
What if the Wind blows in the wrong Direction or the Wind is calm? Plus a Car is way to heavy. If something like a Machine would produce Wind in the Direction we want, we would need to power it with Gasoline or Electricity. So, Cars powered by Wind, is impossible
@tsampoy
Lol, school sucks laugh laugh
strandebeest!
Oh nice! Maybe wind powered cars will be our future.
Wow, neat idea!
