I had a feeling that changing the power of a prop engines doesn’t change the fuel it consumes, so I made an engine have 0 horse power, and it’s fuel went down just as fast as a 2000 horse power engine’s horsepower went down. Wow. Just wow...
Fuel consumption doesn’t change depending on how much horsepower a prop engine has... which is annoying.

@jamesPLANESii yep
I think he’s just going more in-depth to what RailfanEthan Ethan said. @BroAeronautics
@Seavixen you can't change the fuel mixture in SimplePlanes
@RailfanEthan the horsepower can be increased by making the fuel/air mixture richer (more fuel), or increasing overall cylinder size, and more. I learned this from this game: https://www.automationgame.com
Awesome boi @AndrewGarrison
I can't promise it will get fixed in 1.8, but I will add it to the list.
@AndrewGarrison
Ok lol @Winstonlharambe
Guys Who you gonna call? Andrew Garrison!!!
No it doesn’t @Winstonlharambe
If you are making something and you want fuel consumption to be greater you can always use zero power jets... @jamesPLANESii
Interesting question @Winstonlharambe
Does lowering the power or max rpm change fuel consumption? @jamesPLANESii
You can’t adjust input on props. @Winstonlharambe
I usually just add 6000 gallons of fuel
I usually adjust the input, if that even helps
well i mean fuel consumption isn't based on horsepower, it's a bunch of fun technical engine stuff.
.
still tho, fix it, this is too buggy
Agreed
Same problem with car engines too. And the in-game engine consumes fuel about twice as fast as a truck in real life
