Bad news kind off?

46.4k Minecraftpoweer  5.9 years ago

Something is wrong with my fan or my computer has too much dust in it.
Just today it started making a really loud Buzz and it is comming from the fan area. Which means I will have to stop playing the game for a bit until I solve the problem. Like me still not being done with the tank is bad enough……..

Anyways if I have to buy a replacement fan that is still not great news,I can find them pretty cheap but I just recently bought a samsung s9+ for most of my Money (really cheap) and I will just be waiting if I get scammed or not (bought it on ebay so they got my back but I'd rather get the phone than a refund)

@Minecraftpoweer Excellent. It pleases me to see people getting involved in their computer hardware like this. Good luck to you, sir.

@F104Deathtrap No it is on my msi ge 70 2oe, it is replaceable easely so it shouldn't be a problem replacing it, you just unscrew it and unplug the Cable.

@Minecraftpoweer Dude, just leave the fan alone, is it a case fan or part of the CPU or GPU?

@Prolex917 @jamesPLANESii @F104Deathtrap Alright so i opened it, took all the fust off and it still sounded, tried some other fixes etc still sounded. Took off the fan and discovered a new species of dust (largest of it's kind) and took that off, sounds normal now, lets hope it stays that way.

@Minecraftpoweer I mean blow through the straw so you don't have to put your head inside your computer case! lol

I understand broke. Seriously though, don't touch anything inside the case. Just putting a finger on a stick of RAM can damage it and make it slower if you don't know how to properly ground yourself. Anyway, fans make noise, as long as it's spinning, it's still good. Just get some of that dust out of there.

@F104Deathtrap you don't seem to understand my level of being broke. I spent all my money except for like 7$ and if the dust wasnt an issue i spent my money on compressed air instead of a new fan or whatever. Maybe using a ballon and putting that on a straw could work? Idk I'll figure something out buth thanks for ze comment

Get a can of compressed air, most office supply stores carry it. Or just close your eyes and try blowing out the dust with a straw. This is an easy fix, just be careful not to touch anything inside the case.

Check inside the case. If there is lots of dust, clean it (obviously not with water)
Or it could be the fan hitting something everytime it spins
