When I updated simple planes the unity update has broken the game and I have screenshots to show proof and you have to copy and paste the link in the search bar to get to it :/

Bless your soul.
Please disable all your mods, restart the game, and try things again. If it does work, try turning on mods one by one until you find the one that breaks things.
Just unupdate it.
