My plane is too heavy

2,151 JaycoCat  5.8 years ago

I’m making a McDonnell XF-86 Goblin and it looks great. The only problem is it’s too backheavy. Can anyone tell me how I can make the back of my plane lighter without having to deconstruct my whole plane? Thanks.

Adding a fuel block that has negative weight to the back will push your CoM forward. These blocks should be fairly easy to find with the search function on the website. If not, I can link you to a post with such blocks.

Thanks! I’ll make an unlisted version real quick and tag you in it. I’ll also make sure to credit you when I upload it. @Phoza

What randomusername is talking about is XML editing. Essentially, it's a way of editing the properties of parts that are not offered in-game (ex: mass, drag, health, etc.). Unfortunately, Apple restricts the use of XML editing, so iOS users don't have access to it. If you tag me on an unlisted post of your plane, I can help out and scale down some mass.
    Hope this helped!

Umm, i’m not sure what that is. Either it’s because i’m Not that good at making planes or I’m just a total idiot. Anyways i’ll Have a look and thanks! @randomusername
